Brad S. Bootstaylor, MD, FACOG is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been in private practice in Atlanta since 1996 and is a co-founder of Atlanta Perinatal Associates, departing this company in 2009. Dr. Bootstaylor received his medical degree in 1988 from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed his Ob/Gyn residency at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Medical Center in New York City in 1992. He also completed his fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrical Sonography in 1994 at the Univ. Of California at San Francisco Medical Center (also his hometown). Subsequently he spent 2 years as an Assistant Professor of Ob/Gyn at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Dr. Bootstaylor has published several articles on fetal physiology and obstetrical sonography. As an undergraduate he received the Jonas E. Salk Scholarship, and during his active duty for 4 years with U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets), he received the Army Commendation Medal. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of the National Medical Association, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dr. Bootstaylor and his wife Lisa (also a physician), live in midtown Atlanta, and immensely enjoy raising their 3 children.

Monica Taylor Monica Taylor, PA is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. She graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Pre-Med. She completed the Physician Assistant Program at Emory University with a Masters in Medical Science in 1992. She has worked the majority of her 18 years as a Physician Assistant in Women’s Health Care. Eleven years were in OB/GYN and since 2003 in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She has spent most of her professional life in OB/GYN due to the fact that she feels it is very important that women know their own bodies. She believes that it is not only a privilege but has been an honor to work with pregnant women at such a special time in their lives. Ms. Taylor is from Silver Spring, Maryland. She currently lives in the Atlanta metro area with her 2 sons. When not at work, you will most usually find her on a baseball, football, or basketball field cheering her boys on. Outside of work she enjoys taking cooking classes, reading (mostly fiction), playing on the Wii and traveling with her family.

Chris Turner

Christine Turner Christine Turner, WHNP-BC, graduated from Brenau Women’s College, Gainesville, Georgia, in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. In 2001, Chris attended the Nell Hodgson School of Nursing (Emory University) to pursue a Master’s Degree in Nursing in the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program. She is certified by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties Center. She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and North American Menopause Society. Chris began her career as a staff nurse at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta; she specialized in Hematology/Oncology. Since then, she has worked in a wide range of settings including community and university-based HIV/AIDS clinical research sites, hospice, a progressive independent women’s clinic, an Atlanta area women’s prison and a private Gynecology/ Urogynecology practice. Chris is well known to many other healthcare providers in the metro-Atlanta area through her past and current work in HIV/AIDS and Women’s health. Much of her clinical research knowledge was derived from working with clinical trials at the AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta (ARCA) and at the Emory University ACTG program. Other important insight and experience was gained through providing hospice care at Atlanta’s Haven House and administering public health education programs for incarcerated women and men in Georgia through Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health. She also practiced at Metro State Women’s Prison (GA Department of Corrections/Office of Health Services), which afforded her opportunities to both develop and implement women’s health policy. Chris most recently worked for a private Gynecology/ Urogynecology practice focusing on health education and prevention/treatment of disease for women of all ages and socioeconomic status.

  • Ellen, a graduate from Frontier Nursing University, is dedicated to providing each patient individualized care, with the most up to date yet highly personal pregnancy, birth and post partum care possible. She has birth center and home birth experience working as a Certified Nurse Midwife along with over 25 years of a background in nursing.

    Ellen has a personal interest in herbs, organic gardening, guitar and mountain lore.

  • Kwajalein (Kay) Cleveland, CNM, MSN, RN
  • A native of Charleston, SC, Kay brings over 14 years of nursing experience to See Baby Midwifery. She has been recognized for compassionate and excellent nursing care as a leader and a mentor during her career at Roper Hospital (2006-2016), which has been named amongst Truven’s Top 100 Hospitals. Kay was inspired to become a midwife when she experienced the opportunity to catch her brother at the age of 14. A recent Frontier Nursing University graduate with a MSN in nurse-midwifery, she proceeds her midwifery career with vast knowledge from assisting moms and their families as a DONA trained doula and birth assistant. Overcoming many obstacles to bring her dream to fruition, Kay is excited to bring her drive, ambition, and passion for midwifery to the See Baby Midwifery team. As a wife and a mother of four daughters, Kay values women’s empowerment, education, and shared decision making in building a solid foundation for mothers and their families as they experience one of life’s most changing event; childbirth. She is proud to become a part of a unique integrative Midwifery Model of Care and looks forward to supporting and providing the most optimal care to mothers and their families to foster positive birth experiences.

    • Lynn has been a midwife for 10 years in New York City after a career in childhood education. Over the last several years she has been educating Midwives and Nurses. While teaching nurses about Women’s Health she was sure to include midwifery and the importance of teaching women about physiologic birth. She has passion for protecting women and teaching women to protect each other.  Lynn has a strong belief in the power of the human body and birth.

  • Judy attended William Jewell College and Columbia College for undergraduate degrees in English, Communication, and Biology in the 1970’s. In the 1980’s she worked as a Labor and Delivery Nurse and also in the NICU while raising 3 wonderful children. Christopher Ian(39) Cristin Iliah (34) and Jordan Andrew(31). Married to Terry Siron, recently retired, who has assisted her in living her passion for 43 years.
    Judy attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri to earn her BSN in Nursing in 1996, and her MSN in Nursing and Certified Nurse Midwifery in 1999. She has worked ever since as a Women’s Health Nurse-Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) in Missouri, Virginia and most recently Florida.
    Judy’s experience includes delivering close to 4000 babies without incident and with much love with women and their families from all over the globe: Britain, Syria, Morocco, Denmark, just to name a few. She also acted as a clinical instructor and/or mentor for both nurses, residents, Nurse practitioner and midwife students from local and long-distance university settings.
