Brad S. Bootstaylor, MD, FACOG is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been in private practice in Atlanta since 1996 and is a co-founder of Atlanta Perinatal Associates, departing this company in 2009.

Dr. Bootstaylor received his medical degree in 1988 from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He completed his Ob/Gyn residency at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Medical Center in New York City in 1992. He also completed his fellowship training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrical Sonography in 1994 at the Univ. Of California at San Francisco Medical Center (also his hometown). Subsequently he spent 2 years as an Assistant Professor of Ob/Gyn at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Bootstaylor has published several articles on fetal physiology and obstetrical sonography. As an undergraduate he received the Jonas E. Salk Scholarship, and during his active duty for 4 years with U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Berets), he received the Army Commendation Medal. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of the National Medical Association, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Dr. Bootstaylor and his wife Lisa (also a physician), live in midtown Atlanta, and immensely enjoy raising their 3 children.

Monica Taylor, PA is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. She graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Pre-Med. She completed the Physician Assistant Program at Emory University with a Masters in Medical Science in 1992.

She has worked the majority of her 18 years as a Physician Assistant in Women’s Health Care. Eleven years were in OB/GYN and since 2003 in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She has spent most of her professional life in OB/GYN due to the fact that she feels it is very important that women know their own bodies. She believes that it is not only a privilege but has been an honor to work with pregnant women at such a special time in their lives.

Ms. Taylor is from Silver Spring, Maryland. She currently lives in the Atlanta metro area with her 2 sons. When not at work, you will most usually find her on a baseball, football, or basketball field cheering her boys on.

Outside of work she enjoys taking cooking classes, reading (mostly fiction), playing on the Wii and traveling with her family.

Christine Turner, WHNP-BC, graduated from Brenau Women’s College, Gainesville, Georgia, in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. In 2001, Chris attended the Nell Hodgson School of Nursing (Emory University) to pursue a Master’s Degree in Nursing in the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program. She is certified by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties Center. She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and North American Menopause Society.

Chris began her career as a staff nurse at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta; she specialized in Hematology/Oncology. Since then, she has worked in a wide range of settings including community and university-based HIV/AIDS clinical research sites, hospice, a progressive independent women’s clinic, an Atlanta area women’s prison and a private Gynecology/ Urogynecology practice.

Chris is well known to many other healthcare providers in the metro-Atlanta area through her past and current work in HIV/AIDS and Women’s health. Much of her clinical research knowledge was derived from working with clinical trials at the AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta (ARCA) and at the Emory University ACTG program. Other important insight and experience was gained through providing hospice care at Atlanta’s Haven House and administering public health education programs for incarcerated women and men in Georgia through Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health. She also practiced at Metro State Women’s Prison (GA Department of Corrections/Office of Health Services), which afforded her opportunities to both develop and implement women’s health policy.

Chris most recently worked for a private Gynecology/ Urogynecology practice focusing on health education and prevention/treatment of disease for women of all ages and socioeconomic status.

  • A former Charge Nurse at Dekalb Medical Maternity Center (2011 – 2013), and recent CNM Graduate, Nkechi brings her L&D experience and life-long passion for midwifery to the See Baby team of Midwives!  As constantly expressed by her mentors and colleagues, Nkechi continually demonstrated the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.  In light of her beginning her Midwifery career with See Baby, Nkechi would like to share this sentiment with you: “I can’t wait to start helping women create their own positive birth stories!”

  • A Midwife since 1995, Jackie worked together with Dr. Bootstaylor, previously at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, NY.  She has had an esteemed career caring for mothers.  In addition to being a CNM with a Masters Degree in Midwifery, Jackie also cared for many families and attended out of hospital and home births as a licensed CPM, providing a holistic and loving approach to the natural birthing process.  Now Jackie and Dr. B are back in alignment providing the best in care for you at See Baby Midwifery!

Heidi Pham, DNP, CNM, ARNP

Heidi is an avid supporter of women, providing client-centered care, shared-decision making, and evidence-based practice. She relocated from Seattle, WA with her husband and daughter to be a part of the See Baby Midwifery team. Heidi feels honored to share in the most special moments of women’s lives as a Certified Nurse-Midwife. She has experience as a Registered Nurse and doula, enjoys volunteering abroad, and speaks proficient Spanish and some Vietnamese. Heidi has midwifery experience with hospital, home, and birth center births, and is excited to support women in their birth choices and desired birth experience. She has special interests in breastfeeding, and natural and holistic medicine.

  • Heidi has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Washington State University (WSU) with a minor in Spanish, and graduated from the WSU Honors College. She has a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Midwifery from the University of Washington (UW), graduating with honors. Heidi is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (ARNP) in Washington and Georgia, and is nationally certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) as a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM).
