We all know that there are no guarantees in life, and that there is risk associated with childbirth. What we do at See Baby and See Baby Midwifery is to contextualize risks, and practice shared decision making. We came across the following article, which does a nice job of discussing the risk of uterine rupture during birth. Uterine rupture is something we talk about (and fear) with regard to birth after cesarean, but the evidence and the risk can be contextualized to hopefully reduce some of the fear.
