VBAC Safer than a Repeat Cesarean Birth

For many women who have had a previous cesarean birth–nearly a third of all U.S. deliveries, VBAC (a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) is a safer option than scheduling a repeat cesarean birth. For VBAC candidates, which by some measures are 90% of women who have had a previous cesarean, VBAC is safer for both mother and baby.
